Domain Insights from GoDaddy shows trending keywords in domain registrations.

GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) has a new feature that shares which keywords are being registered most often in new domain names.

The company already publishes which keywords are most common in Aftermarket domains, but this data is always a few months behind.

The new data is extremely current. The data refreshes every couple of days.

To see the top keywords in new registrations, click “Insights” near the top right of the Domain Control Center.

The short timeframe for refreshes means you’ll see a variety of keywords here. The image above is from last week; yesterday, the top keywords were American, creative, and Texas. Today, I see wealth, golf, and American.

I imagine bulk purchases could move the needle a bit on these registration numbers.

I think it’s worth clicking the link occasionally to see if there’s a new trend worth investigating. Also, pay attention to keywords that are frequently on the list.
