Yesterday, I wrote about the new Afternic landing pages that look similar to the Dan landers but with a GoDaddy logo and url. I am going to be migrating most of my inventory currently using Dan.com landing pages, but it is going to take some time to do all of that.
I’ve seen quite a few people share feedback and requests on X. I have also seen people reporting issues and bugs. I have been sharing my own feedback with GoDaddy representatives, and I thought I would put a list together with some of the things I would like to see before moving any of my names priced above $2,000+/-.
- Make Offer – For a great deal of my inventory, I am happy to accept offers. Perhaps I overpriced a name. If I paid $150 for a name and priced it at $4,999, I would definitely consider a $3,000 offer depending on circumstances at that time. I am a set it and forget it type of person for much of my inventory, so allowing offers based on minimums I have set makes sense.
- Easy Bulk Editing for CamelCase – At the moment, it is a tedious task to individually change my domain names to CamelCase without developer assistance. I would like to be able to either edit the name directly in my home control panel or upload a list with just the CamelCase names and not have it screw up my pricing.
- Faster checkout process – I’ve heard that it takes an inordinate amount of time to go from clicking the BIN button to getting to the checkout process. I tested and replicated the time, so I think that needs improvement.
- Remove upsell domain names from checkout – This is probably too much to a$k GoDaddy, but it may be harmful to sellers if buyers are offered alternative domain names as upsells since a % may choose to simply buy the cheaper alternative instead of the higher value domain name. GoDaddy quickly fixed this already!
- Fix “All Domains” page bugs – When I highlight “In Review” or “Listed,” it shows all of my domain names. The only button that seems to work is “Not Listed,” which correctly only shows my names that are not listed. This has been fixed.
- Allow Sellers to Implement a Down Payment – To help reduce the number of canceled deals or to soften the blow of a canceled deal, allow the sellers to implement a down payment or larger first payment.
- Custom Text and Images – Some sellers want to have a custom text option or image option to enhance their listing or better explain the value proposition.
- Improve and Enhance Tracking – Provide more and better date about visitors and views.
