keep like/thanks anonymous
They’re not anonymous. Are you suggesting that we make them anonymous?
make it a bar from -5 to 10. Giving a poster +2 or -1 should be a limit
Could you explain this in more detail? It’s unclear to us what you’re suggesting.
:ie I give you like and thanks but yet you at Negative 3 ...the math never added up
With the anonymous bar you are able to select Agree disagree or semi numeral just click the bar
I meant semi-neutral ...and then when members see the posters bar they can see how many votes it has and where it is between -5 to 10 ...it can be little tiles with - at the begining and + at the end if it's hard for members to click the second tile in the red they can just click (-) 3 times
- | | | | | | | | +
Something like that
It's a work in project but I think less people will be able to abuse these buttons
Ps I will be taking my -5 on your post l8er I just did it for the show

No one should be influenced/bothered of the way someone else voted thats why I think the 'bar' is a better alternative
Sticking with +2/-1

Some people are more easily influenced than others. Influence is not always negative. The written text in all forum postings can also be seen as influence, and is fortunately usually positive. All this type of information, including the visible voting behavior of influencers, can be a useful addition for newcomers to form their own opinion within the field of domain investing.

Its not certain but I'm saying the bar could potentially even bring more people to post to prove their point, there could become more interaction than abusing up/down button to it's maximum.

Interesting! So it'd be like a virtual tug of war to make the bar dominantly reflect each user's opinion, right? The bar may be negative (red) if the majority of voters don't like the post, or it could be fully green if everyone who has voted liked the post? Is that the idea?

Can you explain to me how "tug of war" works? I just waited 30 seconds to defrost my "thanks"
As stated. It's trash.

Two opposing sides try to pull everyone on the other side to their side.
Metaphorically, this would be equivalent to everyone trying to get the bar to be red if they disagreed with the post or green if they agreed with the post.
Did you have something else in mind?
I just waited 30 seconds to defrost my "thanks"
What do you mean by defrost?

That's just cruel.
That or make like/thanks 2 second hold. As I scroll through forums I accidentally like/thank

I waited 30 seconds to change my "thanks" to a "disagree" or something

These 2 points go against each other, 1 is for introductuon to the bar and other is the improvement of now. People don't ask why you liked a post but if you show disagreement by a button they be like WHY, and that's why anonymous bar is better.

I was thinking voting might even die off but hiding the number of votes and where the scale is until you cast a vote would probably keep it alive

Why not just use the down arrow on the post?
Why not just use the down arrow on the post?
I just don't like it if I'm being honest. Tapping down arrow 5 times because I don't like a post is absurd
!!
Plus you can't see how many people voted

So in a way it's not probably even that accurate. Someone would just hit the arrow 1 time if they like it/don't like next person might maximize the tap/click
Plus you can't see how many people voted
It does tell you how many people voted: press the number to see it.
Examples:
“1 user has assigned points to this content.”
“29 users have assigned points to this content.”
This is an example page when you press the number: https://www.namepros.com/pq/points/post/9176398/view
