The recent brokered listing of the domain AI.com has ended speculation about its status since the last known sale in 2021.

In a nutshell: AI.com has not been sold since the SAW.com brokerage aided in its acquisition by a mysterious buyer who appears to be based in Singapore. The asking price, at the time, was $11 million dollars. We have reasons to believe that the selling price was approximately 1/4 of that.

Since then, the domain AI.com has been forwarded to ChatGPT creators OpenAI, to specific videos on YouTube, X.ai, and DeepSeek. None of these are the current registrant, however.

Larry Fischer, official broker for AI.com, made it clear in recent days:

Neither DeepSeek nor any other AI company currently owns AI.com.

Over the past few months, the owner of AI.com has strategically redirected the domain to various leading AI companies, sparking widespread speculation each time about whether a major acquisition had taken place. This repeated buzz across the internet not only highlighted the immense value of AI.com but also served as a powerful demonstration of the influence and branding impact that comes with owning this rare digital asset.

Now, this extraordinary and highly coveted domain is officially for sale, presenting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right buyer to secure one of the most powerful names in the AI revolution.

It seems that in that sense, the popularity and value of the domain AI.com are extrapolated by its potential to troll others. For example, if AI.com were forwarded to DOGE.gov, many would assume that either the US government or Elon Musk bought it.

While we doubt that either of these entities would spend nine figures outright to acquire the domain, it’s possible that this price will be granted eventually. Once a conglomerate or group of companies pool their resources and funds together, AI.com should reach or exceed that amazing asking price of $100,000,000 dollars.
