I think we’ve finally peaked in memecoins and crypto. Yesterday, Coinbase launched a memecoin—and it did what every memecoin does: it peaked, then tanked. In all this crypto chaos, there has to be some foundational players showing the rest of the world the actual benefits of crypto and blockchain. Right now, it feels like the only company doing that is Gemini. I never thought I’d say this, but the Winklevoss twins seem to be the most solid custodians out there.
Coinbase got greedy. They started listing complete pump-and-dumps, then took it a step further and launched one themselves. Why? Because Trump gave them the freedom to do so. But just because you can in finance doesn’t mean you should. Coinbase fought so hard for legitimacy and regulation, and now that they have it, they’re proving exactly why governments were skeptical in the first place—by doing things like launching worthless tokens.
I love blockchain. I love crypto. It fits perfectly with domains and online transactions. It streamlines the process and makes it easier for people all over the world to transact. But this past year has been a complete shitshow and has set the industry back. Now, most people just see it as a gambling product. Sure, it can be used for that—but it should be more than that.
Blind Melon is one of my favorite groups. Not sure if any of you are old enough to remember them. Shannon Hoon died too soon, here’s them live

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
