There has to be a better system to make sure auctions get paid

Andy Booth posted on X that a bidder that was the high bidder on many expired .ai domains last month has not paid.

Andy had mentioned before that he was a bit skeptical about the situation and said,”I’ve seen enough to bow out of future auctions until there is new ownership.”

That’s a loss for the registry if they lose a legit buyer like Andy.

The industry needs to figure out a better system.
