Audacy is a multi-platform audio content company that owns and operates a large network of radio stations across the US. Formerly known as Entercom before rebranding to Audacy in 2021, the company specializes in radio broadcasting, podcasting, and digital audio streaming.

Radio.com was registered in 1996 by Internet Multicasting Service and sold that year, along with TV.com, to CNET Networks for $30,000 dollars. CBS acquired CNET in 2008 and launched Radio.com in 2010 as a streaming hub for its stations. Entercom bought CBS in 2017, rebranded to Audacy Inc. in 2021, and retired the Radio.com brand, redirecting it to Audacy.com.

In 2022, the domain name Radio.com was placed on a public auction with a minimum asking price of $2.5 million dollars. That auction ended without bids.

Note: The following is a rumor.

According to radio news portal, InsideRadio, the domain Radio.com has been sold.

The article cites no sources, however, and no information about the amount involved or the buyer; the domain forwards to Audacy.com still and there are no changes to its WHOIS records since 2023.
