My new site: find the right college with CollegeIQ

My new site makes it easier to find the right college.

I’m excited to announce the launch of my latest business, CollegeIQ.

This past year, I assisted my kid with the college application process. Wow, has it changed a lot since I went to college!

While going through the process, I found that so many things are broken:

• Pricing is opaque; the list price for schools isn’t what most students pay to attend.
• Data about colleges is located in many different documents and websites, and it’s hard to find all the data you’re looking for.
• It’s difficult to discover colleges. As a result, most students end up looking only at big-name schools and ones in their local area.

With the right data, students can find hidden gems that are perfect for them.

So, I went out and collected data through government databases and private data providers and collated it into one website.

That’s the idea behind CollegeIQ.
