Spaceship Spaceship

Hi folks,

This is my first discussion ever here on namepros, so it could be possible that this is not the right place where I am asking this question, so please bare with me.

This has been my first month into domain purchasing. I have zero idea how it works, I just picked the ones that thought make logical sense. Here are the ones I got, along with hypothesis behind the purchase.

Domain Name

Hypothesis

10am.ai

3 letters, time of the day

10pm.ai

3 letters, time of the day

11am.ai

3 letters, time of the day

11pm.ai

3 letters, time of the day

12h.ai

3 letters, easy to remember

7pm.ai

3 letters, time of the day

curd.ai

4 letters, easy to remember. Curd is similar to yoghurt

laliga.game

A very big football league. (dot)game extension made sense in this case

laliga.games

I got the .games extension too, so I bought it.

Please let me know how you guys feel, and which one of it do you should should i keep for longest. Thanks.

Not a fan of numbers in domains.

Laliga is trademarked, you need to be more careful.

Damn! Am I screwed with laliga ones, because I did spend good amount to acquire it.

I'd suggest less expensive, known extensions to begin (ie .com)

All those .ai names. So expensive, and not much commercial appeal that I can see

it took us all years to master domains.

you just wasted 1k plus.

buy com io co org net xyz only

1word only

the more popular the better.

but before u buy read namebio and np min 200hour

gl

Reading all your replies just break my heart :/

it's ok.
99percent of people start domains thinking its quick easy money. then we learn its exact opposite

Thanks for saying that.

Can someone suggest what are my options for the trademarked ones? Can I ask for refund if they are just bought today? I got it from namecheap, if that helps. Any help appreciated.

You can ask for a refund, though they aren't under any obligation to provide one.

You might just have to write it off as the cost of education.

In general .ai has relatively high renewal fees, so it's only worth keeping really good terms.

Curd is the only decent one that has a chance to sell. IMO.

Definitely ask for refund

Also, check tldes.com for lowest prices. CHECK THIS OUT

I suggest starting HERE

What you're calling a "hypothesis" is just a feature (fact) of the name. Some of them are factually wrong, btw. :xf.smile:

I have zero idea how it works

What made you jump right into the deep end (expensive TLDs) if you acknowledge that you can't swim yet?

Reading all your replies just break my heart :/

I wish I had asked feedback and broken my heart when I started. And hey, it's still possible that someone purchases e.g. one of your "time of the day" domains.

.game

I can't believe you registered such huge trademarked name for this money!
There is also a .game promotion where you could save a lot, if you still had to register that worthless trademarked name.

But did you pay $311 for laliga.game ?

Hey, I’m in the same boat—only a couple of months into domaining myself. If there’s one thing I’ve picked up, it’s that you’ve got to spend a ton of time on NamePros and NameBio before pulling the trigger on any domains. Seriously, the more you read and learn, the better your chances of avoiding costly mistakes.
