New option reduces the amount of clutter and distractions on for-sale pages.
Domain sales platform Atom is known for trying new things, such as AI-written descriptions, down payments on long-term payment plan sales, and categorization. It can be overwhelming for domain sellers, and it can also sometimes be overwhelming for domain buyers.
So, the company has launched “minimal” domain landers that significantly cut the clutter on for-sale pages.
When you select the minimal lander option, the following changes are made:
- The pronunciation, brand alignment check, and “add to shortlist” options are removed. They are replaced with trust icons that otherwise appear lower on the page.
- An Atom.com purchase protection banner is displayed.
- The domain gets a “verified domain” badge, similar to what GoDaddy does.
- The live chat feature is more prominent, including a message stating that replies take three minutes.
- Domain descriptions, possible uses, root words, characteristics, related keywords, a “how to” video, and similar domains are removed.
Currently, landing page choices apply to all domains in the account.
Instructions for changing the landing page format are here.
