(.io) isn't just a trend that fades with time :

.io is my 3rd fave extension after .com and .ai
Most of my sales over the last 4 years:
1) .COM
2) .AI
3) .IO
4) .ME
5) .ORG

.IO is big in Tech, Crypto, Gaming, Social Media, and one word brandables
It seems Mike at Park.io and the Booth brothers gave gotten the biggest .IO sales

Also an edge computing company affiliated with G42.ai, a huge AI company in Dubai, purchased analog.io earlier this year for 60 K USD. I'm not sure if Apple uses any .io domains, but they are investing billions in edge computing technologies and platforms commensurate with their AI rollouts.

I love .com, but i also really like short extensions like .ai, io, .me, .it (few sales), de, .ca
