Importance of majestic?

Say I’m searching through expired or expiring domains - should I always be applying appropriate majestic search parameters such as citation & trust flow metrics?

I’m wondering how important those metrics are to finding a valuable name (2nd to the perceived value of the name itself) - when I use these metrics I am always met with a much smaller list of domains.

Appreciate some insight on this,
