Hey everyone,
So, I recently picked up a geo + keyword .com domain, and it turns out there’s a business in the UK operating on the .co.uk version of the same name (no trademark though).
The domain doesn’t get much traffic—maybe 10-20 views a month—but since I enabled email forwarding, I’ve been getting enquiries meant for them, potentially bringing them new business.
I’m thinking about reaching out to offer them the .com, but I’m pretty new to this and could really use some advice on how to go about it. Also, how would you go about pricing it? I’m considering £4000—do you think that’s fair?
I’m still relatively new to domain investing, and I’m not sure what kind of profits businesses in the UK typically generate from domains like this, so I’d really appreciate any insights or advice on:
- Best practices for approaching the business in this situation
- Suggestions on how to structure pricing
- How to leverage the fact I’m getting enquiries meant for them
Any tips would be really appreciated!
