G.O.A.T. Foods operates a number of confectionary and food-related brands on exceptional one word .com domain names. You can buy licorice via Licorice.com, you can buy chocolate via Chocolate.com, you can buy pretzels via Pretzels.com, and you can buy caramels via Caramels.com.

The company’s authoritative domain names are coupled with great branding, and they go beyond e-commerce websites. I have seen GOAT Foods’ branded vending machines at various points in my travels. The business model seems to be working for the company, as evidenced by its growth and development of new brands.

Last night, GOAT announced the forthcoming launch of Cookies.com. As you can imagine, Cookies.com will sell cookies:

Because Cookies.com is registered under Whois privacy, it is unclear if the domain name was acquired or is in the process of being acquired. It could also be some sort of licensing deal with the domain registrant. I do not know how GOAT operates.

With the launch of Cookies.com, the company operates ten brands. In fact, I just learned that GOAT Foods was possibly the buyer that paid $500,000 for Bagels.com earlier this year via Sedo. The Bagels.com domain name is registered under Whois privacy.

GOAT Foods is doing big things with great brand names, and the growth of its brands shows the company’s confidence in utilizing one word .com domain names for its consumer-facing brands.
