Domain Name Wire turned 20 years old today.

I look back at photos from early conferences and am left in shock. Aging happens slowly, but wow, how the years add up!

So much has happened in the domain industry during the past 20 years, and I’ve enjoyed chronicling the ups, downs and changes of this fun business.

A shout out to all readers and podcast listeners. You are the reason this blog was started.

And a special shout out to Domain Name Wire’s sponsors. I know many of you look at DNW advertising as a way to support the industry rather than just get an ROI, and I appreciate your support. Your backing makes this site possible, and I truly appreciate it.

I’ll admit, sometimes I walk into a domain conference and wonder how long I’ll keep doing this. But then I have a fascinating conversation, reconnect with old friends, and remember why I love this space.

At this age, I can’t promise another 20 years, so we’ll take it one more year at a time.

Here’s to 20 years of DNW. And here’s to the future!
