For the past 15 years, Bob Mountain has held senior roles at NameMedia (then parent company of Afternic) and GoDaddy. During his tenure, Bob’s area of expertise has been business development and partner management, serving in different C-suite and Vice President roles.

Bob shared some personal news with me that he is allowing me to share here. Bob will be retiring from GoDaddy at the end of this year.

Bob has contributed a great deal to GoDaddy’s tremendous growth over the years. While his work wasn’t always talked about publicly, I am sure he played a key role in important projects like corporate acquisitions, domain name portfolio acquisitions, expiry auction partnerships, Afternic sales network partnerships, and various other initiatives that expanded business at GoDaddy.

Since his days at NameMedia, Bob has always engaged with domain investors and served as an advocate for their growth. He made it a priority to learn domain investor pain points and do what he could to grow their business via Afternic and GoDaddy.

Congratulations to Bob on his well-deserved retirement. Hopefully, I will see him around – perhaps on a hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where we will undoubtedly be spending a great deal of time.
