"At Atom, pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo is in our DNA."
I like this opening.
I was expecting them to reduce the commissions. This is still good news for sellers.
Atom has a deal with Afternic. So they're paying small % of the share to the sellers.

Atom has a deal with Afternic.
Has this been confirmed by Atom somewhere? What exactly does this deal entail?
I only know about the "partial exclusivity agreement" for Atom Sellers, but that's only an agreement on their own platform with their own Atom Sellers.
Atom Sellers that also list their premium accepted names on Afternic still have a problem, because Afternic TOS explicitly forbids Afternic Sellers to maintain different pricing on other landers, platforms, and marketplaces. And Atom requires that they price these domains (at least) 10% higher on Afternic.
Until now, this conflicting situation still exists and Sellers cannot simultaneously comply with the TOS of both marketplaces.

price matching with one trillion restrictions ... no tnx. next.
I have only seen the tweet (posted above) about the deal.
I don't know how Afternic is going to enforce that TOS. It's a ridiculous rule.

I don't think they can, how will they keep up with all the listings?

I think that there are many companies that could do a good job price checking across sales platforms. Each domain name is unique. There are a limited number of significant platforms to monitor. Sophisticated price checking and comparison technology is out there in use.
However...
I'd think it more likely, though, from a company that could implement (not just announce) things like bulk search, maintain a non-glitchy platform, eliminate rather than nurture bugs...
So, I would not argue against your "I don't think they can."
Punitive DNS policy encourages price adjustments by sellers.

Atom has a deal with Afternic.
HI
between them, they already charging the highest fee's and now the two A's have a deal, really?
if SH has the cash to offer a pay back, then they can afford to lower fees and survive without GD.
fine print readers better get the magnifier.
Can't Truss This
imo...

What are the “Approved Selling Platforms”?
Please list them.
In short, these platforms are Afternic and Sedo.

Atom will syndicate Atom premium names automatically to Sedo, to their Atom account, with some markup to the price to compensate for Sedo's commission if the name sells through that channel.
Afternic did not allow such syndication, so Atom Sellers will have to list their Atom premium names on Afternic themselves. Atom has automated checks in place to check whether Afternic pricing is at least 10% higher than on Atom.

Trying to understand how calling it “Commission Match Guarantee” is acceptable when the maximum they’ll deduct is $300 in commission and they only include two marketplaces.
This name clearly builds on the concept of “Price Match Guarantee,” and Atom’s version is a hollow shell of that concept.
Misleading naming.
P.S. Big fan of Atom’s technology; just hate to see them start using cheap sales tactics that mislead sellers who don’t read the fine print.

It is particularly striking that NamePros Parking is not mentioned as an Approved Selling Platform. Their commission is impossible to match for Atom.
