When looking at hand registering a .ai, I've come across times where the corresponding keywordai.com is available for hand registration (although most of the time it's taken). Should this dissuade me from registering the .ai? Perhaps if both are avail there is a reason (less likely to be a diamond in the rough?)
AI is such a trendy field, it would be hard for me to believe there is anything that great available in either format.
The problem with .AI is registration/renewal fees are pushing $100/year.
If no one thinks the .COM is worth $10/year is the .AI really worth that carrying cost?
I know it could be considered on a case by case basis, but for obvious reasons I can't show the name(s) I'm looking at.
Appreciate hearing everyones thoughts as it may help crystallize mine.
I think it's a case by case basis and depends on a number of factors from brandability to cost.
