.AI busts past 500,000 domains

Over a half million .ai domains are now registered.

The registry for .AI updated its registration count today, showing that 533,068 .ai domains are registered as of October 1.

This is up from 478,696 on the last count on July 1. The number has more than doubled since June 2023.

.AI is the country code for Anguilla but has become popular due to its adoption by artificial intelligence companies.

The growth comes despite relatively high registration costs and transfer fees that don’t include registration extensions if people want to switch registrars.
