Sedo’s top public sale this past week was weights.com, and the buyer isn’t using the domain as you might expect.

Weights.com $85,000 and Weights.net $7,500 – A site about weightlifting? Nope. Weights is a social platform for creating with AI.

Gambia.com €55,422 – The buyer is creating a site about the country of Gambia that will offer related merchandise. The domain was previously used as a news site.

CubeMobile.com $48,900 – This domain points to the nameservers for IP protection company BrandShelter. There are a few possible buyers.

Gowod.com $19,000 – This is an interesting one. The domain forwards to Pliability, an app that competes with one called Gowod. I can’t be sure that Pliability bought the domain, but I can’t imagine someone else paying this much money for the domain.

BluNova.con $11,500 – BluNova Capital is a private equity firm.

RelaxSessel.com €8,000 – This domain forwards to Sofas.de. Sessel is German for armchair.

ExpiredDomain.com $5,000 – An end user can also be in the domain industry. It will be interesting to see what the buyer develops on this website. Right now there is a teaser for “expired domain discovery”.

Specialists.co €4,975 – The buyer is creating a site to connect people to service specialists.

DTodd.com $3,839 – Michigan lawyer D. Todd Williams bought this domain.

Autohaus-Der-Zukunft.de €3,000 – Autohaus der Zukunft is a community for car dealerships, manufacturers and service providers. The group forwards this domain to the matching .com.

Liftra.de €2,999 – Liftra is an interesting business. It sells systems to replace components on wind turbines without using traditional cranes.

TroutDog.com €2,850 – This domain forwards to the site for fish farming company McFarland Springs.

Cegeka.co.uk €2,400 – Cegeka is a large IT services company based in Belgium.

Reinigungsmaschinen.de €2,000 – This domain, which is German for cleaning machines, forwards to the website for CleanCaro, which offers office cleaning services in Germany.
